$150.00 per 60 minute session for individuals

*Please note there are no rebates with Medicare or Private Health currently available. You do not require referral or Mental Health Care Plan to book a session. As such we have tried to keep our pricing as affordable as possible, ensuring equitable access for all clients.

Appointment times are in high demand. We require at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule your appointment, so that another client may take your appointment time.  If you cancel within 48 hours notice or do not show up to your appointment, the full session fee will be charged. Please note, if you do not confirm your appointment 48 hours prior, it will be assumed you are cancelling, and your appointment time will be offered to another client. 

Cancellation Policy

Purpose of Collecting Information: Sage House collects personal information necessary for treatment. While you are not required to provide all your personal details, withholding relevant information may affect the quality of service you receive. This information is only accessible to your practitioner.
Access to Information: You have the right to access the information held about you, subject to certain legal limitations. Your practitioner will guide you on how to access this information.
Confidentiality: Your privacy is protected, and your personal information is kept confidential and secure. Exceptions to confidentiality include:
  • Court subpoenas,
  • If failure to disclose information would pose a serious risk to you or others,
  • With your prior approval to share information (e.g., with a GP or other professionals),
  • Legal requirements for disclosure.
Group Therapy Confidentiality: In group therapy, confidentiality is essential to building trust. Disclosing group members' information outside of the group may result in termination of therapy.
Supervision and Coordination of Care: To improve the quality of care, practitioners may consult with external supervisors, maintaining strict confidentiality about your identity. If you are receiving care from multiple professionals, they may coordinate your treatment with your consent to provide the best service.
Confidentiality for Children Under 18: Children deemed mature enough to consent to therapy will receive a duty of confidentiality. Parents will receive general updates about their child’s progress, but specific details will only be shared with the child’s consent, unless there is a serious risk to the child’s or others’ safety.
Assessment: You may be asked to complete questionnaires to monitor your progress during treatment.

  • No, you do not need a referral to visit Sage House. We do not currently accept Mental Health Care Plans or provide Medicare rebates. As such, we have tried to keep our fees as low as possible to ensure equitable access for all our clients.

  • At Sage House we understand that everyone’s schedule looks different. Therefore, all our sessions are by appointment, allowing us to be flexible with booking days and times. Please submit an enquiry form or email us at hello@sagehousetherapy.com.au to request out of hours appointment.

  • Yes, we have plenty of unlimited free street parking available on Eric Street and The Esplanade.

  • Depending on your needs and preferences, we aim to find a suitable appointment asap however, wait times can vary. If you have trouble finding a suitable time online, please connect us at hello@sagehousetherapy.com.au for further assistance.

  • Each session goes for approximately 60 minutes in duration. You are welcome to request either 30 minutes sessions or a double session if preferred.

  • The frequency of your sessions will be determined by you, considering your individual circumstances and needs, with guidance from your practitioner on the optimal schedule. On average, you can expect to see positive outcomes within 4-8 sessions, with appointments usually 1-2 weeks apart at first, then tapering in frequency depending on your needs and goals. We advise booking 1-2 follow-up appointments in advance to ensure desired appointments times are available, should you choose to utilise it.

  • Yes, it is very common for people to experience some initial nervousness. Our practitioners are aware of this and will always endeavour to provide a warm and understanding environment to help you to feel more comfortable.

  • You are welcome to bring someone with you. Your support person can come into the session with you or wait in our reception for you.

  • Everything you share during your sessions is confidential and cannot be disclosed to anyone outside of our practice without your written consent. The only exception is if your practitioner has concerns about your safety or someone else's, which may require action to ensure Duty of Care or if your therapist is subpoenaed by court to give evidence.
